Fresh Cookies at Work? Meet the Corporate Cookie Jar from The Lanai Cottage Bakery

Image
Introducing: The Lanai Cottage Bakery Corporate Cookie Jar  Been wanting to do this one for a while … and now it’s officially here: The Lanai Cottage Bakery Corporate Cookie Jar ! Think of it as your new office BFF, quietly waiting in the breakroom, stocked with freshly baked cookies. It’s the perfect mix of “cottage home cozy” and “yes, I’m actually excited about the office kitchen.” And let me tell you, this isn’t just any jar. It’s a clear glass beauty with a wooden cap, the kind of thing that gives your office breakroom an instant glow-up. Think: clean, country, cozy… like a little piece of cottage charm parked right next to the coffee machine. Because let’s be honest—cookies taste better when they’re served out of a jar that looks like it belongs in your grandma’s kitchen (but chic enough to fit in a modern office). What’s Inside πŸͺ Each jar fits two dozen cookies—because one dozen is never enough. πŸͺYou pick four flavors from the menu each week. πŸͺEach cookie is indiv...

Sweet Treats at the Table Read: Baking for hit show St. Denis Medical πŸͺ🎬

Image
One of the coolest parts of baking for TV productions? Knowing your baked goods are making an appearance during the table read—the moment when cast, writers, producers, and the director all come together to bring the script to life out loud for the first time. It’s a creative huddle with a lot of laughs, a little pressure, and (lucky for me!) a sweet snack break halfway through. The production office puts in the request (I never know what they’ll choose—except the mini cinnys. Those are non-negotiable by now πŸ˜‚). Every now and then, someone at work will mention that “the NBC execs always light up when your treats hit the table.” A quiet compliment that made a big impact. Knowing that something I baked is part of a moment they genuinely look forward to? That kind of feedback keeps me smiling (and baking) through the late-night kitchen marathons. This week’s menu was extra fun: πŸͺ Cookies Galore: 4 dozen in total, featuring a rotating lineup: Triple Chocolate Chip (GF & regular) – a...

From Local Bakery to TV Set: What I’m Baking for St. Denis Medical 🎬

Image
If you’ve been following along, you might remember when I shared the sweet surprise of being asked to bake for the craft services team on St. Denis Medical  Season 2— a hilarious mockumentary series that proves laughter and sugar are the best medicine. Well, I’m back with an update, and this time, it’s all about the menu that’s been fueling the cast and crew through takes, retakes, and second helpings. Let’s start with the standing order — the bakery prescription that gets filled week after week: πŸ’š 5 dozen cookies (because basic blood sugar is so last season) πŸ’š 1/2 dozen jumbo cinnamon rolls (emotional support swirls) πŸ’š  1/2 dozen specialty rolls (where my flavor experiments live their best lives) πŸ’š Brownies (because... obviously) Each week, I mix things up with new cookie and roll flavors, making sure every bite feels like a plot twist. And now... drumroll with a whisk please... here's what’s on the menu for this week on set: 🎬 This Week’s Star-Studded Lineup: πŸͺ ...

✨From Set Life to Sweet Life: My Hollywood Bakery Twist ✨

Image
If you’ve been following along my baking journey, you probably know me as the cinnamon roll gal, the one bringing sugar, spice, and everything nice to markets and custom orders. But what most don’t know is that by day, I work in the world of lights, cameras, and touch-ups — I’m a professional makeup artist in Hollywood. Surprise! For the past season, I’ve had the absolute joy of working on the new hit comedy St. Denis Medical, doing makeup magic behind the scenes. And in the most unexpected (but totally on-brand) plot twist, my two worlds — makeup and baking — collided in the sweetest way. It all started with a joke. I was chatting about my cottage home bakery with coworkers on set, and someone threw out, “You should bring your stuff in for crafty!” (Crafty = craft services, the glorious snack table of any production.) But my co-workers weren’t joking. They started raving about my baked goods and even began putting in the good word to Amy (shoutout to Amy, our craft services queen) to ...
